For a long time I pondered what kind of crazy hat Zan could possibly have picked out for himself. Nothing that popped into my head seemed right. Then I had a brilliant idea: I have readers! They're usually smarter than me. Why don't I let them figure it out? And thus the Galaxion Webcomic's Very First Contest was born.

NAME THE HAT! Describe to me what you think Zan's hat looks like, and come up with a name for the model he has. You don't have to draw it, but any accompanying drawings that come my way I will happily post to the Fan Art section when the contest is over (unless you tell me otherwise). You have until May 27th, 2008 (that's one month) to get your entries in. A winner, chosen by me, will be announced June 2nd.

PRIZES! The winner will have her or his hat's name inked onto the page, and will be credited on the website and in whatever printed form eventually appears. Also, the winner will receive the original finished page art, complete with winning hat name! The paper is 11 x 17, so it's reasonably big. And I didn't do any Photoshoppy cut-n-paste backgrounds, so what you see is what you get! I don't think I've offered up any of my pages before for sale or otherwise, so this is a pretty special deal.
